There seems to now be a name for an inactive portal, although this might be unchanged. At the end of time, I'm greeted with a quick new cut scene, and I'm not even sure if this is related to the aforementioned star stone. I think that maybe the star stone I picked up in the treasure room, might lead somewhere. And there still might be, but I couldn't find anything, even after inspecting every nook and cranny. This does not look promising, and sure enough, it is a level 5 legendary, completely useless to anyone at this point in the game.Īlready feeling very, very let down, I think that maybe there is more to this room. Oh, it only requires level 1 loremaster to identify. Okay, this legendary is probably going to be amazing. Inside is a legendary, some uncommon ingredients, and a blank scroll. Indeed, she is selling a book of Faery runes, and it assists in the opening of this enormous chest. No luck.Īfter close to an hour more of prodding around, I remember the Victoria in Cyseal's library might have something. Surely, his role in this must be massive since that bitch was fat, but we'll touch on that again later. Once again, I think that this might be somehow tied to the secret in east Hiberheim which the guardian was protecting. I consult every piece of parchment or scroll I've picked up this far, unfortunately none of it helps. No big - there's a massive fucking chest at the end of this room, I'll just - nope, I can't open it, however, it is coated in some strange runes. Identifying all of these again yield loot of no higher level than 7. Inside the treasure room I find some golden plates, golden cups, ornate chests have some rares, magicals, bookshelves hold some scrolls, a skillbook. It doesn't take long before I find the hidden switch to open this final gate, and also conveniently shuts down the final sentinels. Gold spilling out of the walls, ornate chests riding the waves of this ocean of gold, some ornate chests inside the room, and a massive chest, looking somewhat like a sarcophagus, at the end of this room. And boy, it looks ridiculously promising. Now there is only one more gate before I am in the treasure room, which itself is guarded by numerous sentinels. Searching for a key or a secret in the current sentinel room is a time-waste, and eventually I just bash this gate open. Navigating safely through here, an unlockable gate now protects a chamber, and at the back of this chamber, there is another gate. Next I'm faced with numerous sentinels, some traps, etc - a similar shebang. It took a bit of back and forth and exploring, as well as consulting the mysterious clicking platforms in east Hiberheim (the ones that the ridiculously tanky guardian is protecting).Įventually I found the statue on the east wall and solved the riddle to clear the blue barrier. However, afterwards, I proceeded to figure out how to get into the treasure room of Boreas. Regardless, this wasn't a very big secret, nor a big time-consumer, so I'm not too fussed about it. The resurrection scrolls I used were worth more. This ended up murdering 2 party members, and the loot inside consisted of 2 magical pieces, at level 5 and 6 this time. Inside this chest I found one rare and one magical pieces of loot - level 6.Īfterwards you move south and find a sentinel keeping watch over another chest, once opened, lava spawns around your party. Not really hard to get past this - a bit of a chore, but nonetheless. I then spent the better part of the day trying to solve and find out all the little secrets in Hiberheim.įirst there is the teleporter to the west of the castle which takes you to a dungeon type room with a chest hidden behind an invulnerable gate, made inapproachable by lava. I started off the day finishing exploring Hiberheim and then killing Boreas.
